OpenAI Unveils GPT Store

OpenAI's ChatGPT has taken another giant leap forward with the launch of the GPT Store. This exciting new feature is now available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users, offering a world of custom-built GPTs.

Key Highlights:

• Extensive Range of GPTs: The GPT Store showcases a diverse array of GPTs created by both partners and the community, spanning categories like DALL·E, writing, research, programming, education, and lifestyle.

• Weekly Featured GPTs: To spotlight the most impactful GPTs, the store will highlight new and useful models weekly. Initial featured GPTs include trail recommendations from AllTrails, academic research with Consensus, coding tutorials from Khan Academy, and more.

• Building and Sharing Made Easy: Users can now easily create and share their own GPTs in the store, with no coding skills required. Simply save your GPT for Everyone and verify your Builder Profile to get started.

• Builders Can Earn: A new revenue program is set to launch in Q1, allowing US builders to earn based on user engagement with their GPTs.

CES 2024 is undeniably dominated by AI innovations this year, with a wave of advanced products reshaping the tech landscape:

1. AMD has announced the Ryzen™ 8000G Series desktop processors with dedicated AI neural processing units (NPUs), a first for desktop PC processors. These NPUs are designed to accelerate AI software capabilities, optimizing AI workloads for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

2. Samsung’s new AI-powered SmartThings home platform includes an interactive "map view" of smart home devices that can be created using photos, and lidar-enabled devices, and displays real-time locations of devices and AI characters representing family members and pets. The features are accessible on select Samsung TVs, the Family Hub smart fridge, and M8 monitors, enhancing the smart home experience.

   

3. Samsung has reintroduced the Ballie robot with several AI upgrades, with better navigation and lidar sensors, and a smart projector that adapts to room conditions and user positions. Its AI also allows voice and text control, and it learns user habits to personalize its functions and control various smart and traditional home devices.

4. Volkswagen is integrating ChatGPT into their vehicles, starting in Europe, to enable drivers to control various car functions and access information through natural language interaction. This feature, offered in models like the ID.7 and Tiguan, enhances the in-car experience by allowing hands-free conversations.

   

5. Getty Images and Nvidia have collaborated to create "Generative AI by iStock," an AI-powered text-to-image platform for stock photo generation, utilizing Nvidia's Picasso model and Getty’s huge library. This platform is tailored for small and medium businesses and also includes innovative features like Inpainting and Outpainting.

6. Holoconnects' Holobox: Revolutionizing digital communication, this AI-powered marvel offers a mind-blowing glimpse into the future.

7. Baracoda's Smart Mirror: Infusing AI and natural language processing, this mirror adapts to users' moods through light therapy, guided meditations, and affirmations.

   

8. Rabbit's r1 AI Companion: Resembling a Tamagotchi, this device simplifies digital tasks using AI agents, making daily interactions more seamless. The Rabbit r1 is a groundbreaking AI device featuring the innovative Rabbit OS, a natural-language operating system powered by a Large Action Model. With dimensions of 3 x 3 x 0.5 inches and a weight of 115 grams, this pocket-sized companion, developed in collaboration with Teenage Engineering, boasts stand-alone functionality over Wi-Fi or cellular networks (4G, 4GLTE, and 5G) via its SIM slot. Equipped with a MediaTek MT6765 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, the r1 marks the dawn of a new era in human-machine interaction, according to Rabbit's founder and CEO Jesse Lyu. 

   

   Honestly, it's a very cool refreshing concept, but it would essentially be just a secondary device to smartphones, which already have Google Assistant or Siri onboard. What this shows is that smartphones will soon be redesigned around AI. And it’s a good start!

9. Invoxia's Minitailz: An AI-powered pet wearable, Minitailz monitors vital signs and notifies owners of potential health issues, marking a significant leap in pet care technology.

   

10. LG's Rosie: This adorable home robot AI agent takes on chores and seamlessly integrates with LG's smart home appliances, adding a touch of charm to household assistance.
